Day 1

About me
I'm Jake. Vegan for nine years, 150 plus marathons behind me and the gym six days a week, three days on and one off. VeganFit is where I write down what actually works.

The reason
I started it because the advice I found online assumed a kitchen, a gym and a way of eating I had no interest in following. So I made the version I actually wanted, one that treats plant based food as normal food and training as something you fit into a real life.
Most of what I know came from repeating it, nine years of plant based eating through 150 marathons and counting, and a gym week that never really stops. The ultramarathons taught me that the boring basics hold everything together, food, sleep, consistency.
Everything on this site is written by me, in the open, and free to read. If a page here helps you lift a bit heavier, run a bit further or put a better meal on the table, that's the whole point of it.
My gym routine
Six days a week, three days on and one day off, running the same three day split twice through.

Then repeat.
Sit ups or knee raises with a pelvic curl, in every session without exception.
Hold training for the squat, two minutes now, three minutes is the target.

Where to start
Seven body parts, eight moves each, with technique notes.
From your first mile to recovery that actually works.
Ride further, hold the pace, look after the knees.
Sixteen poses drawn out, breath and mobility included.
Stress, motivation, meditation, confidence and rest.
Over a thousand plant based recipes with macros and allergens.
Protein, performance and B12, explained without the hype.
T shirts, caps, bottles, coasters and wristbands.
